Location:

Our school is fortunate in having a very pleasant location in the newly developed area of Sr. College road, Warulwadi at Narayangaon. It is about 0.5 km from Narayangaon S. T. Stand.

Competitions:

Competitions are organized in the school such as Shlok, Singing, Handwriting, Memory, Fancy Dress & Sports, etc. to develop their hobbies and interest in extra-curricular.

Parents-Teachers Meetings:

Class-wise meetings are held with the class teacher where parents freely discuss their ward’s hehaviour, progress and activities. Valuable suggestions given by parents are implemented by school if feasible.

Kid’s Park:

The ground is adorned with “KID’S PARK” for K.G. Students. The play park equipment are provided for the tiny tots in this park. The students avail this facility under the supervision of their teachers.

Activities & Exhibitions:

Various activities undertaken at the school are Peas Peeling, Corn Peeling, Sandwich making activity. Thumb art, Clay art, best of waste art. The school organizes Science exhibition prepared by students to enhance their creativity.

"Joy of Giving" Activity

Through this activity kids shared their tiffin. They collected their saving which they got on their birthday & submitted to school. The amount was donated to the orphanage run by Sindhutai Sapkal. The stationary and eatables were distributed to the deaf & mute school at Narodi & Junnar by the kids of Junior & Senior K. G. class.

Grand Parents Day:

On 3^rd September we celebrated Grandparents day in our school. All grand parents enjoyed the day (programe) with their grand children.

श्री. उमाजी दगडूजी तांबे असेंट स्कूल : परिचय

ग्रामोन्नती मंडळाच्या "श्री अनंतराव कुलकर्णी इंग्लिश मिडीयम स्कूल" या शाळेपासून पूर्व माध्यमिक वर्ग वेगळे करून ई.स. २०११ मध्ये या पूर्व प्राथमिक इंग्रजी माध्यमाच्या शाळेची स्थापना केली आहे.

लहान बालकांना साजेशा वर्गखोल्या, बसण्यासाठी आधुनिक सोयी सुविधा, कार्यक्रमांसाठी सभागृह, भरपूर खेळणी, मोकळी हवा, स्वच्छ सूर्यप्रकाश, क्रीडांगण, हिरवाई, पार्किंग इत्यादीं वैशिष्ट्ये असलेल्या नूतन वास्तूमध्ये या शाळेची मुले शिकतात. २०११ मध्ये विद्यार्थी संख्या होती २९८. आज २०१९ मध्ये ही संख्या ५३६ आहे.

बालमानस शास्त्र जाणणारा अनुभवी शिक्षक वर्ग वयभान विसरून लहानग्यांसाठी लहान होतात. त्यांना आरोग्य, स्वच्छता इत्यादीचे धडे देतात. जेवावे कसे, जेवणातील आरोग्यपूर्ण पदार्थ कोणते इत्यादीची माहिती देतात. दंत आरोग्य समजवण्यासाठी तज्ञ डॉक्टर बोलावले जातात. विज्ञान प्रदर्शनात चिमुकल्यांना प्रकल्प मांडण्याची संधी दिली जाते. वर्गवार सहलींचे आयोजन, छोटे मोठे सण साजरे करणे, राष्ट्रीय दिन साजरे करणे, श्लोक पाठांतर, आकाश कंदील तयार करणे, शेतीची ओळख, शेत मालाची, पिकांची माहिती करून देणे, संगीत, नृत्य, वाद्य, समूहगीते, इत्यादी अनेक नियोजनपूर्वक राबवलेल्या उपक्रमांमुळे बालकांचे व्यक्तिमत्त्व जडण घडणीचा पाया इथे घातला जातो.

चिमुकल्यांना जेवावे कसे? हाच पहिला पाठ दिला जातो. जेवणात डब्यामध्ये गाजर, काकडी, बीट देणे अनिवार्य आहे. लहान वयातच त्यांना सॅलेडची आवड उत्पन्न व्हावी हा हेतू. विद्यार्थ्यांना शेतीच्या प्राथमिक स्वरूपाची माहिती व्हावी, पिकांचे वर्गीकरण कसे असते? वेलवर्गीय पिके, पिकांमधील फरक कसा ओळखावा? शेतमालाची ओळख करण्यासाठी E.V.S. हा शेती ओळखीचा प्रकल्प राबविला जातो. पं. नेहरूंच्या जन्मदिवशी अर्थात बालदिनी बालकांसाठी विविध उपक्रमांचे आयोजन केले जाते.

विद्यार्थ्यांना सामाजिक बांधिलकीची जाणीव बालपणातच व्हावी यासाठी एकमेकांना अडचणीच्या वेळी मदतीचे धडे शिकवले जातात. संगीत, वाद्य इत्यादीची किमान समूहगीतासाठी ओळख वर्षभरात प्रत्येकास व्हावी असे नियोजन असते.

शाळेतील पोषक वातावरण, शिक्षकांचे योगदान, संस्था पदाधिकाऱ्यांचे प्रोत्साहन, संस्थेचे पाठबळ इत्यादी मुळे ही शाळा प्रगती पथावर असून शाळेने पालकांच्या मनात प्रथम पसंतीचे स्थान मिळविले आहे.
